PK Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Resistant Materials Teacher to join a secondary school in Sheffield on a full-time basis. This role will be covering a long-term sickness absence from Easter until the end of the summer term, making it a great opportunity for a teacher looking for a short-term placement within a supportive school environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Resistant Materials lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students in developing practical skills, creativity, and confidence in design and technology. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons in line with the national curriculum, ensuring students remain engaged and make strong progress. The role will also involve maintaining a safe and productive workshop environment while supporting students with practical projects and coursework.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a teacher who holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, with experience delivering Resistant Materials or Design and Technology in a secondary school setting. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills, a practical and hands-on teaching approach, and the ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
