    Job description

    Nurture Teacher (QTS)
Location: Oxfordshire (Oxford, Banbury, Didcot, Bicester and surrounding areas)
    Pay: £28–£32 per hour (PAYE)
    Start Date: Immediate / Ongoing
    Hours: Flexible
Still love teaching… just not the system?
You didn’t train to spend evenings buried in marking.
You didn’t enter the profession to feel constantly overwhelmed.
You didn’t become a teacher to manage behaviour instead of inspiring learning.
You became a teacher to change lives.
At SEND Inclusion Support, we offer experienced teachers the opportunity to step away from whole-class pressure and into purposeful, relationship-led work supporting vulnerable learners across Oxfordshire.
The Role – Nurture Teacher (1:1)
Through our Nurture Pathway, you will work 1:1 with pupils across Oxfordshire who are currently out of school due to:
    • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
    • Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
    • Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA)
    • Risk of exclusion or permanent exclusion
    • Anxiety, trauma or disengagement from education
You will design and deliver bespoke, interest-led learning sessions tailored to each young person.
    This is relationship-first teaching.
Your work will focus on rebuilding confidence, re-engaging learners and supporting successful reintegration into education — at a pace that works for them.
    What Makes This Different?
    No whole-class teaching.
    No excessive marking.
    No unnecessary meetings.
    No data-driven overwhelm.
    Instead, you will benefit from:
    • Flexible working hours
    • Paid planning and preparation time
    • Access to high-quality teaching resources (including Twinkl)
    • Online or in-person delivery options
    • Ongoing mentoring and professional support
    • A supportive and experienced team
This is meaningful teaching — without burnout.
    Who We’re Looking For
We would love to hear from you if you are:
    • A qualified teacher (QTS essential)
    • Experienced in SEND, SEMH or alternative provision
    • Confident delivering 1:1 or small-group learning
    • Calm, relational and adaptable
    • Passionate about inclusion and second chances
If you are an excellent teacher who feels constrained by the traditional classroom model, this could be the reset you have been looking for.
    Why Join SEND Inclusion Support?
Because teaching should feel purposeful — not overwhelming.
Because flexibility and professional trust matter.
Because some young people simply need a teacher who sees them differently.
And that teacher could be you.
