    Job description

    PE Teacher

    A large secondary school based in Hillingdon is looking for a PE Teacher.
    The school is seeking someone to start in April 2026 on a long-term contract until at least July 2026.
    This position is full time, although the school may consider strong part-time applicants. Working hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm.
    Salary will match Outer London MPS/UPS depending on experience.
    The school has available parking spaces for staff.

    PE Teacher - Hillingdon, London

    * Deliver engaging and high-quality Physical Education lessons across Key Stages, helping students develop fitness, teamwork and confidence through sport.
    * Encourage students to lead active and healthy lifestyles while developing their physical skills and understanding of different sports.
    * Plan inclusive and structured lessons that support students of all abilities and encourage participation.
    * Organise and support extracurricular sports activities, clubs and inter-school competitions.
    * Promote teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship through a variety of sporting activities.
    * Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support improvement and confidence in physical performance.
    * Maintain a safe and positive learning environment during lessons and sporting activities.
    * Contribute to the wider life of the school and support a collaborative teaching environment.

    Qualifications and Person Specification:

    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

    * Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    * Approachable, organised and supportive
    * Committed to encouraging students to participate in sport and physical activity
