How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Class Teacher – Secondary SEND School - Birmingham
    Are you a qualified Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity working with secondary-aged students with Autism and Moderate Learning Needs? Do you want to teach small classes where relationships, structure and personalised learning are key? This specialist setting is looking to appoint a committed Class Teacher to support students across Key Stage 3 and 4 in a nurturing and well-supported environment.

    As a Class Teacher at this school, you will be responsible for delivering a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to the needs and abilities of your students. You will work closely with experienced Teaching Assistants to create a structured and engaging classroom where pupils can build confidence and make measurable progress. Teachers from both primary and secondary backgrounds will be considered for this role. Qualified Teacher Status is essential. Previous experience teaching children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.

    Job Role:

    Teaching small classes of secondary-aged students with Autism and Moderate Learning Needs
    Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
    Creating a calm, structured and inclusive classroom environment
    Working closely with Teaching Assistants to support engagement and progress
    Supporting students’ communication, independence and social development
    Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress
    Contributing to EHCP targets and individual learning plansIn Return You Will:
