    Lead Primary Teacher, East London/Essex

    Salary: £41935- £50474) + TLR
    Reports to: Headteacher / Deputy Headteacher

    This is a fantastic step for an experienced teacher ready to influence whole‑school practice while still staying close to the classroom.

    The Role

    As a Lead Teacher, you will be a key part of the school’s leadership structure, guiding both your year team and curriculum/subject area with clarity, purpose, and high expectations.

    You will:

    * Provide strong, purposeful leadership aligned with the school’s improvement priorities.

    * Model excellent teaching and learning, and support others to do the same.

    * Monitor teaching quality through observations, work sampling, assessment analysis, and pupil/parent voice.

    * Track attainment and progress rigorously, ensuring every pupil makes at least expected progress.

    * Create a learning environment where pupils feel motivated, supported, and celebrated.

    * Lead professional dialogue and action research to strengthen practice across the school.

    * Build effective team routines through role modelling and thoughtful delegation.

    * Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, staff, and governors.

    * Encourage innovation and reflective practice, including through the Catalyst Assessment System.

    * Work collaboratively with parents, Trust schools, and the wider community.

    * Mentor new staff and trainee teachers.

    * Act as a performance manager.

    * Attend fortnightly leadership meetings and report on impact termly.
