Job Title: Junior Associate – Financial Services & Fintech Regulation (1–3 PQE)

A leading international law firm’s London office is seeking an exceptional Junior Associate (1–3 PQE) to join their Financial Services Regulation team. This is a rare opportunity to work closely with a senior partner on high-profile regulatory matters, advising both traditional financial institutions and innovative fintech clients across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise banks, investment managers, fintechs, and other financial institutions on UK and international regulatory frameworks.
- Assist with licensing, authorisations, compliance policies, and supervisory obligations for both traditional and technology-driven financial services businesses.
- Prepare multi-jurisdictional regulatory surveys and comparative analyses to support cross-border advice.
- Support regulatory investigations, enforcement matters, and FCA/PRA engagements.
- Draft client memoranda, compliance frameworks, and regulatory updates for both UK and international clients.
- Conduct detailed legal research on complex financial services and fintech regulatory issues, including MiFID II, market abuse, prudential requirements, and conduct regulation.
Candidate Requirements
- 1–3 years PQE in a top-tier international law firm, with hands-on experience in financial services regulation, including fintech regulatory matters.
- Experience with cross-border regulatory compliance, licensing, authorisations, and supervisory investigations.
- Outstanding academic credentials and strong research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced international environment.
