A growing digital consultancy delivering complex transformation across central government is looking to appoint an experienced Senior User Researcher to strengthen its User Centred Design capability.

The Role
You will lead end to end research across large scale government programmes, shaping research strategy and ensuring insight drives practical service improvement. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will engage senior stakeholders, contribute to service design decisions, and uphold best practice in accessibility and inclusive design.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and deliver qualitative and quantitative research programmes
• Lead research planning, fieldwork and synthesis
• Translate complex policy and service requirements into clear, actionable insight
• Engage confidently with senior civil servants and programme leadership
• Support and mentor more junior researchers within delivery teams
Experience Required
• Significant experience delivering user research within central government
• Strong understanding of GDS standards and service design principles
• Proven ability to lead research workstreams within agile environments
• Confidence operating in regulated, stakeholder heavy settings
• Clear, structured communication skills with senior audiences
