Go Support Ltd provides high‑quality residential care for children aged 8–18 with
Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD). We are
seeking an experienced Responsible Individual (RI) to provide strategic leadership,
regulatory oversight and strong governance across our children’s home.
About the Role
The RI will ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted, Children’s
Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards. You will support and challenge the
Registered Manager, oversee safeguarding and quality assurance and drive
continuous improvement to achieve “Good” and “Outstanding” outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership and regulatory oversight
• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and statutory requirements
• Support, supervise, and challenge the Registered Manager
• Oversee safeguarding practice and promote a culture of safety
• Monitor quality, audits, reports and performance data
• Build strong relationships with local authorities and external partners
• Drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children
Essential Requirements
• Strong leadership experience in children’s residential care
• Excellent understanding of Ofsted inspections and Quality Standards
• Experience supervising or supporting Registered Managers
• Robust safeguarding knowledge
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Level 5 Leadership & Management (or equivalent senior‑level experience)
Desirable
• Previous experience as a Responsible Individual with a minimum of 2 years’
experience working in a children’s home
• Background in social care, health, education or related fields
