adi Group Services – Group Procurement Officer

About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Group Procurement Officer to play a key role in delivering procurement excellence across the Group.
This is a hands-on position with real influence. You will drive best-value purchasing decisions, strengthen supplier partnerships, and identify strategic opportunities that enhance commercial performance and operational efficiency.
Working closely with the Group Procurement Manager and Business Divisions, you will help shape and execute procurement strategy while ensuring compliance, cost control and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and embedding the Group Purchasing Strategy across the business, driving compliance
- Ensuring all orders are placed with Preferred Suppliers while maximising commercial value on every project
- Analysing spend data to identify cost-saving, efficiency and value-enhancement opportunities
- Leading negotiations on complex or strategically important contracts to secure best-in-class commercial outcomes
- Partnering with Project Engineers and Project Managers to procure plant and materials on time and within budget
- Monitoring market trends, pricing movements and supplier performance to maintain competitive advantage
- Identifying and onboarding new suppliers that deliver innovation, cost savings and added value
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Extensive experience in electrical and/or mechanical engineering procurement, with demonstrable success in supplier negotiation and cost control
- Substantial product knowledge of mechanical and electrical materials is critical to this role
- Considerable understanding of local and national supply channels in the mechanical and electrical market is essential
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of delivering results
- Experience implementing best practice procurement processes
- MCIPS qualified (or working towards) is desirable
- Confident negotiator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Highly organised, solutions-focused and able to thrive under pressure
