Role Description
Harmony Alternative is seeking experienced educators to join our international experiential learning programme for the 2026–2027 academic cycle.
This freelance facilitator role supports small groups participating in an inquiry-based home-schooling programme delivered across two regional routes:
• Southeast Asia
• South America
We are recruiting facilitators for two learner groups:
• Younger learners (under 10)
• Main programme learners (ages 10–15)
Facilitators guide interdisciplinary learning through field-based experiences, project work, and reflective practice. The role includes curriculum planning, learner facilitation, risk awareness, and communication with participating families.
This role is suited to educators who are comfortable working in small-group environments and facilitating inquiry-led learning outside of a traditional classroom setting.
Key elements of the role include:
• Facilitating learning activities and projects
• Supporting learner wellbeing and group dynamics
• Participating in programme planning and preparation
• Working collaboratively with a small facilitation team
Qualifications
- Strong experience in Lesson Planning and Teaching
- Expertise in Education and Training practices tailored to various learning environments
- Excellent interpersonal and Communication skills for working with diverse students and stakeholders
- Ability to travel when required and adapt to different educational setups
- Proficiency in utilizing technology and innovative methods for educational purposes
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience in alternative education or consulting is a plus
