We’re looking for a Design Coordinator to support the delivery of complex civil engineering projects across renewable energy, energy infrastructure, and large-scale earthworks schemes.
Working within our Bid Department, in Warrington (North West England), you’ll lead and coordinate design activity from tender stage through to construction, developing practical, buildable solutions and managing both temporary and permanent works designs.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading design coordination on tenders and live projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, calculations, and ground investigation data
- Advising on buildability, foundation strategies, structures, and temporary works
- Identifying value engineering opportunities to improve cost, programme, and risk
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and operational teams
- Supporting design reviews and providing technical input throughout construction
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in Civil, Geotechnical Engineering, or Engineering Geology
- Strong contractor or consultancy experience
- Knowledge of earthworks, infrastructure, foundations, and temporary works
- Experience in large infrastructure or earthworks projects
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence design decisions
- Chartered status (or working towards) and design-and-build experience are advantageous.
