Real Estate Finance Lawyer - London
We are instructed by a leading international law firm in London to support the continued expansion of its Real Estate Finance and Structured Debt practice. This is a strategic growth hire within one of the City’s most established and highly ranked finance teams.
The London Real Estate Finance and Structured Debt team is a core part of the firm’s global finance offering. The wider group comprises 13 Partners, six of whom specialise in Real Estate Finance, supported by approximately 45 lawyers and 16 trainees. The team acts on some of the most significant and complex real estate financing transactions in the market, advising major lenders, sponsors, private equity houses, asset managers and institutional investors across domestic and cross-border mandates.
This is not a replacement role. The firm is actively building bench strength at associate level to support sustained deal flow and future growth. The practice has remained consistently busy across cycles and continues to see strong activity in structured investment, development finance, syndicated lending and portfolio transactions.
The Opportunity
You will work closely with leading partners on high-value, often multi-jurisdictional transactions. The work is technically sophisticated and varied, offering exposure to structured debt, investment and development financings, loan-on-loan structures, and complex capital stacks. Associates are given meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure and the opportunity to develop strong lender and sponsor relationships early in their careers.
The team is keen to speak with high-calibre Real Estate Finance associates from NQ through to 7PQE. While candidates from elite US or Magic Circle firms are of particular interest, the firm is flexible on background where experience is strong and training is robust. They are focused on quality of work and technical strength rather than rigid firm criteria.
