Role Description
We are seeking a flexible and motivated Supervising Social Worker to join our team.
As a small organisation, the role requires adaptability across all aspects of fostering practice. Initially, the focus will include assessment work, recruitment support, service development and contributing to matching discussions. A supervising caseload will build gradually in line with service growth.
This role is well suited to a practitioner who enjoys variety and is comfortable working within a developing and evolving service.
Key Responsibilities
- Contributing to foster carer recruitment and assessment processes
- Completing Form F assessments and annual reviews
- Supporting supervision of foster carers alongside the team
- Contributing to matching discussions and placement planning
- Supporting quality assurance and compliance work
- Liaising with local authorities and professionals
- Maintaining high-quality case recording and reports
- Promoting safeguarding and child-centred practice
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
- Experience in fostering or children’s services preferred
- Confident working flexibly in a small organisation
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Reflective and solution-focused approach
- Willingness to contribute to service growth
