    Consultant Clinical Oncologist – Urology Malignancy

    Location: Oxford

    Contract: 6 months

    Start Date: ASAP


    About the role


    We are working in partnership with an NHS service in Oxford to recruit a Consultant Clinical Oncologist experience in Urology Malignancy to join a supportive and forward-thinking department on a substantive basis. Experience in Gynaecological Oncology would be a bonus.


    The department places strong emphasis on job satisfaction, wellbeing, and work–life balance, recognising their importance in building sustainable oncology services. Prospective applicants are warmly encouraged to visit the department to discuss how this role can be shaped to meet individual interests and needs.



    Key Responsibilities

    • Take clinical ownership for a defined, site-specific workload within breast oncology and an additional tumour site.
    • Contribute to medical leadership, service development, and innovation within oncology services.
    • Support and provide training and supervision to non-consultant grade doctors.
    • Promote interdisciplinary working within the department and across the wider hospital.
    • Ensure care is delivered in line with current standards and evidence-based practice.
    • Participate in clinical audit, including departmental and multidisciplinary audit programmes.
    • Contribute to research activity and innovative practice within oncology.


    Person Specification

    Qualifications & Training – Essential

    • Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise
    • Completion of higher specialist training in Clinical Oncology
    • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register


    Desirable

    • Higher degree
