A private equity–backed digital transformation business is entering a pivotal stage of growth. The company has built a strong reputation delivering complex data, governance and enterprise transformation programmes into regulated, document-heavy environments.
Historically services-led, it is now evolving, productising internal IP into repeatable SaaS offerings while continuing to deliver high-value transformation work.
This is not a pure SaaS scale-up. It is an established services business transitioning toward a hybrid platform + services model.
That commercial shift requires a different kind of sales leader.
The Role
We are seeking a Head of Sales to build and professionalise the revenue engine.
This is a true player-coach position. You will architect the commercial operating system while personally leading from the front - opening, progressing and closing complex enterprise opportunities.
The board mandate is clear: improve predictability, forecasting confidence and repeatability. Move from individual hero deals to a well-oiled commercial machine.
You will work closely with senior leadership and an experienced go-to-market advisor to sharpen ICP definition, outbound structure, qualification rigour and pipeline discipline.
What You’ll Own
You will:
- Personally carry and close enterprise revenue
- Lead complex, consultative sales engagements
- Build structure across SDR, new business and account growth functions
- Implement rigorous qualification methodology (MEDDIC, SPICED or similar)
- Introduce evidence-based forecasting and pipeline coverage standards
- Strengthen commercial governance and cross-functional alignment
This is hands-on. There is no large infrastructure to inherit, you will build it.
What We’re Looking For
You have likely operated in the £5m–£30m revenue range and are comfortable in environments where structure is still being built.
You will bring:
- A proven track record of personally carrying and closing enterprise quota
- Experience improving forecasting accuracy and pipeline discipline
- Exposure to hybrid services + SaaS commercial models
- Confidence building outbound capability from limited foundations
- A pragmatic, entrepreneurial mindset
This is not a corporate VP role. It requires someone comfortable rolling up their sleeves and building.
