The role
As a Schemes Supervisor, you will play a critical role in assisting the construction manager in overseeing the delivery of a cycleway. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in highways engineering, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
- Develop and implement detailed project plans, including resource allocation, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project schedules and collaborate with contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure adherence to timelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily site records, including photos, equipment, and labor resources.
- Assist in resolving site and construction-related issues, communicating changes to Scheme Engineer, Designers, and Quantity Surveyors.
- Conduct daily inspections of Traffic Management layouts, addressing any identified issues promptly.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of multiple engineering schemes, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will provide leadership and guidance to a team of engineers and ensure all aspects of the schemes, from planning to execution, are carried out safely and efficiently.
Some essentials included below:
- Proven experience in highway engineering
- SSSTS or SMSTS & CSCS Cards
- Highly organised to effectively coordinate multiple contractors simultaneously.
- Strong and clear communicator to manage report to the Construction Manager and all other stakeholders.
- UK Drivers Licence
