    Job description

Head of HR Business Partnering - 12 Month FTC - £130K - 5 days in the office

As Head of HR Business Partnering, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing people strategies that drive business success across my clients global data centre and asset management operations. In this strategic leadership role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and empower a team of HR Business Partners to deliver proactive, commercially focused solutions that elevate organisational performance, leadership capability, and employee engagement. You will align HR initiatives with business priorities, championing workforce planning, talent development, and cultural transformation across regions. Your remit includes leading change programmes, succession planning, and leadership development, while ensuring consistency in people practices and full compliance with local employment legislation. Collaborating closely with the Group HR Director, Site Managing Directors, and Group Functions, you will embed the people agenda into operational decision-making and enable HR Business Partners to influence, challenge, and support leaders at every level. This is a high-impact, people-centric leadership opportunity for a strategic and pragmatic HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment and is passionate about enabling business growth through the power of people.

    Key Responsibilities Strategic HR Partnership

    • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, proactively shaping and executing people strategies that directly support business objectives and growth.

    • Lead the integration of HR initiatives into operational and commercial decision-making, ensuring the people agenda is central to business planning.

    • Anticipate future workforce needs and design scalable solutions for organisational effectiveness and agility Talent Management & Leadership Development

    • Architect and deliver end-to-end talent management strategies, including workforce planning, succession pipelines, and critical skills mapping.

    • Champion leadership development by designing and implementing targeted programmes that build both current and future leadership capability.

    • Partner with business units to identify and accelerate high-potential talent, ensuring robust development and retention strategies.. Culture, Engagement & Inclusion

    • Drive a culture of engagement and accountability through data-driven action planning, ensuring initiatives are both globally consistent and locally relevant.

    • Lead the deployment of diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies, measuring impact and continuously refining approaches to enhance belonging and representation.

    • Model and embed a “no excuses, no blame” culture, fostering psychological safety, trust, and collaboration. HR Operations, Governance & Compliance

    • Oversee the delivery of HR services, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and readiness for audit across all regions.

This role is not primarily about pushing the team harder or driving intensity for its own sake. What my clients needs is someone who can operate strategically while still delivering through projects. The right person will be comfortable with ambiguity, agile in their thinking, and genuinely excited about building something together rather than stepping into a fully formed structure.

They need to be able to span both the team and the broader organisation, emotionally and politically savvy, able to read the room, influence effectively, and build trust across stakeholders. At the same time, they must be confident enough to challenge constructively when needed.

Data fluency is critical. We’re looking for someone who uses insight and evidence to shape decisions, keeps the big picture in mind, and ensures execution follows through. Strategy without delivery won’t work here.
