Locality Officer
Overview
- Responsible for delivering a high-quality housing management service across a defined locality
- Supporting customers across mixed tenure homes
- Helping to keep neighbourhoods safe, well managed and inclusive
- Working closely with customers, colleagues and partner agencies
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload including:
- Anti-social behaviour
- Tenancy and lease management
- Neighbourhood issues
- Safeguarding concerns
- Fraud and tenancy breaches
- Deliver a visible and proactive housing management service
- Resolve customer issues in a timely and practical way
- Carry out regular neighbourhood and property inspections
- Work with customers to improve homes and communities
- Ensure landlord responsibilities are met in line with policies and legislation
- Maintain accurate records and customer data
- Support health and safety and compliance requirements
- Work with internal teams to deliver local services
- Build strong relationships with local authorities and partner agencies
- Support initiatives that improve communities and customer satisfaction
Skills and Experience
- Experience in housing management or a similar role
- Good knowledge of tenancy and neighbourhood management
- Experience handling anti-social behaviour cases
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to manage a busy and complex workload
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with partner agencies and stakeholders
- Good IT and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
