Experience Required: Minimum 2 years’ compliance experience within UK healthcare recruitment.

    Role Overview

Winlight Recruitment is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and team-driven Compliance Officer to support our Qualified Social Work team. As a vital member of the team, you will ensure that compliance standards are upheld throughout the recruitment process, helping candidates get fully vetted and ready for placement in local authorities.

This is a full-time role, with the flexibility to work hybrid and/or remotely. Additionally, as we are currently transitioning with our CRM, this position may evolve beyond compliance responsibilities over time.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Candidate Vetting & Onboarding: Manage the full end-to-end compliance process, including right-to-work verification, DBS checks, reference chasing, qualification checks, and safeguarding confirmations.
    • DBS & Safeguarding: Process and track DBS applications and updates, ensuring they are current and compliant with safeguarding requirements.
    • Document Management: Collect, verify, and maintain candidate documentation, ensuring all records are accurate, up to date, and securely stored.
    • Audit Preparation: Ensure all candidate files are audit-ready at all times, supporting both internal and external audits with accurate and complete compliance data.
    • Legislation Monitoring: Stay updated on UK compliance laws, GDPR, right-to-work regulations, safeguarding standards, and UK healthcare legislation, implementing any necessary changes into compliance processes.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key point of contact between consultants, candidates, and clients, providing timely updates on compliance progress and requirements.
    • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the compliance and recruitment teams to share best practices and support consultants in delivering compliant placements.
    • Confidentiality: Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

    Skills & Qualifications

    Essential:

    • 2 years’ compliance experience within UK healthcare recruitment.
    • Strong knowledge of DBS, right-to-work legislation, safeguarding, and UK healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Proficient in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Professional and discreet with sensitive information.

    Desirable:

    • Previous compliance experience within Qualified Social Work recruitment.
    • Experience using recruitment CRM/ATS systems.
    • Understanding of local authority compliance standards.

    What We Offer:

    • Salary of £28,000 - £33,000 per annum (pro rata for the duration of the contract)
    • Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm
    • Hybrid working or remote working option
    • One-month rolling temporary contract with potential for extension based on business needs.
    • Comprehensive training and ongoing development.
    • A supportive, collaborative team culture in a fast-paced environment.

This role is for an immediate start with an ideal start date of Monday 9th March.
