    Head Chef – SACHI London


    We’re looking for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at SACHI, a contemporary Japanese dining destination located within Pantechnicon in the heart of Belgravia. Part of Sunset Hospitality Group, SACHI celebrates refined Japanese cuisine with a modern approach, combining premium ingredients, precision technique and striking presentation in a dynamic, design-led setting.


    This is a hands-on leadership role for a Chef who understands the discipline and detail of Japanese cuisine, thrives in a high-performance environment, and has the creative and operational strength to lead a strong brigade.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and inspire the kitchen brigade, building a culture of teamwork, accountability and consistently high standards
    • Take full ownership of the kitchen operation, from prep through to service, ensuring precision, pace and attention to detail
    • Lead menu development and seasonal updates in collaboration with the Executive Team, including dish creation, recipe testing and presentation standards
    • Manage food and labour costs in line with budget, overseeing gross profit margins, forecasting, rota planning and all kitchen-related expenses
    • Oversee stock control, procurement and supplier relationships to ensure consistency and quality of premium ingredients
    • Uphold food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards, ensuring full compliance with company policies and legal requirements
    • Recruit, train and develop the kitchen team, supporting progression and maintaining a high-performing brigade
    • Conduct performance reviews and work closely with the People Team on recruitment, performance management and succession planning
    • Partner closely with the FOH team to ensure seamless service and an exceptional guest experience


    About You

    • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a quality, high-volume premium restaurant environment
    • Strong understanding of Japanese cuisine, ingredients and technique
    • Confident leader with the ability to motivate, coach and develop a dynamic team
    • Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, margins and labour planning
    • Highly organised, calm under pressure and detail-driven
    • Up-to-date knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergens legislation
    • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering consistent, high-quality food
