What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carrying out day-to-day reactive maintenance across apartments and communal areas
- Handling a range of tasks including basic plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical works and decorating
- Diagnosing faults quickly and implementing effective, long-term fixes
- Supporting apartment handovers, ensuring homes meet high standards before new residents move in
- Assisting with the full unit turn process to minimise void time
- Logging defects accurately and liaising with external contractors where required
- Overseeing contractor access and ensuring works are completed to the expected standard
- Conducting regular building patrols and completing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks (e.g. Fire alarm testing, inspections)
- Monitoring utilities, submitting meter reads and supporting sustainability initiatives
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and updating internal systems
- Ensuring tools, plant and materials are stored safely and kept in good working order
- Acting as a visible, helpful presence on site — supporting residents and the wider team
- Reporting H&S issues, incidents or compliance concerns appropriately
Main Skills Needed:
- Solid hands-on experience across multiple trades (plumbing, carpentry, basic electrics and general repairs)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Organised and proactive, able to prioritise jobs efficiently across two schemes
- Confident communicator with a resident-first mindset
- Good understanding of health & safety best practice
- Team-oriented, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of tasks
