The firm is looking to appoint a new General Counsel. Reporting to the Managing Partner of the firm, you will be a key member of the firm’s senior leadership team and will lead and manage an established and capable team of lawyers and risk & compliance professionals. The role will have overall accountability for legal, regulatory, risk, compliance, insurance and governance matters. You will be a trusted adviser to the Senior and Managing Partners, and other senior leaders across the business.
The firm is looking for a UK qualified lawyer with significant post qualification experience, ideally gained with another leading law or professional services firm and currently in a comparable role, who has a strong understanding of how law firms work as well as partnership and LLP structures. You will need to demonstrate experience of advising at Board or Executive level, as well as strong regulatory and risk management experience and international experience will be an advantage.
Our client is looking for someone with excellent leadership and management skills, who has the credibility and authority to work effectively at Board and Partner level, and the ability to win the confidence of colleagues across the firm. The firm is looking for someone who is decisive and commercially minded with outstanding people skills and judgement.
