Head of Product Innovation | Professional Membership Body | £85–90k + bonus (up to 15%)
We’re working with a well-established UK professional membership body to hire a Head of Product Innovation.
The organisation turns over c. £30m and has grown consistently over the past few years. They’re now at a point where they need transform and use design thinking to ship faster, customer centric solutions. Part of the existing portfolio is exposed to funding changes, so there’s a real focus on developing new product lines and modernising how products are built and taken to market.
This role sits on the senior leadership team and has a clear brief: bring pace, ship new propositions, and create visible commercial impact.
The role
That means working closely with marketing, sales, policy and digital teams to bring together customer insight, turn it into strong business cases, and move quickly from idea through to launch.
There’s a strong appetite internally, from the C-suite to work in a more iterative way and to use AI tools sensibly to speed up research, prototyping and testing. They want someone who can embed that mindset, not just talk about it.
You’ll lead a small team but will be hands on. This is not a pure strategy role.
What you’ll be doing
- Identifying new product opportunities that open up revenue growth
- Building clear commercial cases with defined KPIs
- Turning customer and employer insight into practical product structures and pathways
- Leading rapid development cycles and getting products to market quickly
- Working closely with marketing and sales to shape go to market from the start
- Using data to track performance and refine offers
- Embedding a more experimental, delivery focused product culture
What they’re looking for
- Strong end to end product leadership experience
- A track record of launching revenue generating products
- Experience in education, skills, membership, professional development or a related regulated environment
- Comfort using AI tools to speed up development and insight
- Confidence operating at senior level while staying close to delivery
- Commercial judgement and the ability to prioritise what really matters
Package
- £85,000–£90,000 base
- Up to 15% bonus
