Alexander Steele are working in partnership with a well-established food manufacturing business in Derbyshire which are looking to recruit a Supply Planner to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have planning experience within a fast-paced FMCG environment and be confident with Production Planning, Materials Planning, and Supply Chain Coordination.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Create and manage production schedules – Develop daily, weekly and monthly plans aligned to forecasts, sales orders and site capacity to ensure high service levels.
- Align materials with demand – Ensure raw materials and finished goods are available to support production, product launches and changing customer requirements.
- Optimise stock and shelf life – Monitor inventory levels, slow movers and short-dated stock to reduce waste and maintain healthy stock positions.
- Cross-functional coordination – Work closely with production, warehouse, commercial and supply chain teams to resolve planning or supply challenges quickly and effectively.
- Performance reporting – Track planning KPIs, analyse trends and provide insight to support operational decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement – Identify opportunities to enhance planning processes, improve efficiency and strengthen overall supply chain performance.
- Provide team support – Offer cover across the planning function during peak periods or absence.
