Document Controller – Major Construction Project | Canary Wharf | Permanent
We are working in partnership with a well-established principal contractor to appoint an experienced Document Controller to support the delivery of a major mechanical project in Canary Wharf.
This is a key role embedded within a high-performing site team, where you will take full ownership of document control processes and ensure the smooth, compliant flow of project information from start to completion.
The Opportunity
You will provide essential support to the delivery team on a large, fast-paced project, ensuring all documentation is organised, accurate, and managed in line with strict project protocols.
Working closely with the Project Manager, client representatives, and subcontractors, you will play a central role in maintaining governance, tracking revisions, and supporting structured information flow throughout the lifecycle of the works.
Contract: Permanent
Location: Canary Wharf
Hours: 07:00 – 16:00 (flexibility required in line with project needs)
Salary: Dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all project documentation using Procore (essential)
- Ensure compliance with naming conventions, revision control, and approval workflows
- Oversee structured filing, document tracking, and controlled issue processes
- Support the delivery team with accurate and timely information management
- Liaise confidently with internal teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders
- Assist with permit management / permit-to-work systems where required
- Maintain accuracy, governance, and document integrity across the project
About You
- Proven experience as a Document Controller within a main contractor environment
- Strong working knowledge of Procore (essential)
- Experience with 1Breadcrumb (advantageous)
- Background supporting large, complex or fast-paced construction projects
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong IT skills across Microsoft Office
- Confident communicator, able to manage multiple stakeholders
- Able to prioritise effectively and work under pressure
