    Planning Partner – Cambridge


    Lead & Grow the East of England Planning Consultancy Team

    Six-Figure Salary + Bonus (50–70% of Base) + Exceptional Benefits


    An outstanding opportunity has emerged for an ambitious and commercially driven Planning Partner to join a highly respected national planning and property consultancy, with a clear mandate: build, lead and grow the Planning team across the East of England.


    This well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy has a strong UK presence and an enviable reputation across development, commercial property and planning. In recent years, the business has strategically strengthened its planning capability by recruiting some of the UK’s most accomplished planning consultancy leaders across its regional offices.


    Now, they are seeking the right individual to take ownership of their planning growth strategy in Cambridge and the wider Eastern region.


    This is not a replacement hire. This is a growth appointment.

With sustained demand across residential, science & technology, life sciences, commercial, mixed-use and strategic land projects — particularly around Cambridge and its innovation corridors — the planning advisory market is buoyant and evolving.

    As Planning Partner, you will have the autonomy, backing and brand platform to:

    • Establish and grow a high-performing regional planning team
    • Develop new client relationships while leveraging existing national connections
    • Shape the regional business strategy
    • Drive revenue growth and profitability
    • Position the firm as a leading planning voice in the East of England

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Leading the establishment and expansion of the Cambridge Planning team
    • Driving business development and winning new instructions across the region
    • Managing and strengthening key client relationships
    • Delivering high-quality strategic planning advice
    • Collaborating with the wider national planning and property teams
    • Recruiting, mentoring and developing future planning talent
    • Contributing to the wider strategic direction of the business


    Who We’re Looking For

    • MRTPI qualified Planning professional
    • Operating at Director / Partner level within consultancy
    • Strong track record in fee generation and business development
    • Deep understanding of the East of England planning landscape
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to build and scale a team
    • Commercially astute and relationship-driven


    The Reward

    This role offers a fantastic six-figure base salary, alongside an exceptionally attractive bonus structure that can deliver 50–70% of base salary depending on performance and business generation.
