    Job description

Our client, a global pharmaceutical company, is currently looking for a Medical Advisor to join their team in Uxbridge on a full time, 6-month temporary contract (35 hours per week).

As a Medical Advisor, you’ll provide scientific and clinical leadership across designated therapy areas, partnering closely with cross-functional colleagues and external experts. You’ll be a key voice in medical strategy, ensuring that robust science underpins decision-making across the product lifecycle, from early pipeline assets through to late-stage and non-promoted products.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Acting as the medical authority for your therapy areas, delivering high-quality scientific input internally and externally
    • Co-creating and executing UK medical and research strategies alongside brand, field medical and cross-functional teams
    • Providing medical leadership for early-stage assets, shaping evidence generation, value propositions and launch readiness
    • Leading medical input into HTA submissions in collaboration with HEOR colleagues
    • Supporting decision-making across late-stage and non-promoted assets, including portfolio reviews and lifecycle decisions
    • Ensuring all activities are conducted to the highest ethical and compliance standards, including acting as a medical signatory where required

    Requirements

    • A medical doctor or pharmacist
    • Medical Affairs experience across early, mid and late-stage products
    • Involvement in product strategy and, ideally, launch activities
    • A solid understanding of the UK healthcare landscape and ABPI Code of Practice
    • Experience working cross-functionally within a highly matrixed organisation
