    Job description

    Our client, a well-established financial business is seeking a knowledgeable and pragmatic In-House Employment Lawyer (5-10 years PQE) to provide strategic legal advice and support on all employment-related matters across the organisation. This role partners closely with HR, leadership, and business stakeholders to manage risk, ensure compliance, and promote best practices in workplace policies and employee relations.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide day-to-day legal advice on employment laws and regulations.
    • Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, policies, handbooks, and related documentation.
    • Advise on employee relations issues, including disciplinary matters, grievances, investigations, and terminations.
    • Support organisational changes such as restructurings, redundancies, and workforce planning.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal employment laws.
    • Manage employment-related disputes, claims, and litigation, including coordinating with external counsel where necessary.
    • Deliver training to HR and management on employment law developments and risk mitigation.
    • Monitor legal and regulatory updates and proactively recommend policy or process improvements.


    Qualifications:

    • UK Qualified solicitor - 5-10 years PQE
    • Active license to practice law in good standing.
    • Several years of experience practicing employment law, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house experience.
    • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and regulatory frameworks.
    • Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
