About the Role
We are seeking a Data Protection Specialist to join our client’s London-based team. This role is suited to experienced privacy professionals who combine strong regulatory expertise with the ability to manage delivery across complex client environments. The position involves hands-on advisory work alongside oversight of projects and stakeholder coordination.

Your Responsibilities
- Advise on UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and other applicable global data protection frameworks
- Design and enhance data protection policies, governance structures, and operational controls
- Lead DPIAs, compliance assessments, gap analyses, and remediation programmes
- Manage end-to-end delivery of data protection projects across legal, compliance, and technology functions
- Oversee junior team members and coordinate multi-disciplinary workstreams
- Act as a primary contact for senior client stakeholders and internal leadership
- Support proposal development and contribute to internal best practices
Experience and Qualifications
- Strong experience in data protection consulting, advisory, or in-house privacy roles
- In-depth knowledge of GDPR and broader international privacy regulations
- Demonstrated experience managing projects and supervising delivery teams
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical, business-aligned solutions
- Strong written drafting and stakeholder communication skills
- Fluent English; additional European languages advantageous
- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent preferred
