A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Associate to join its well-regarded transport practice in London.
The team advises a broad range of international clients including airlines, lessors, financiers, insurers, shipowners and operators on complex, cross-border matters. The focus is on hiring a mid-level Associate with between 2.5 and 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
You will work on a mix of non-contentious and advisory matters within the aviation sector, with exposure to asset finance transactions and, where relevant, shipping matters. The role will involve:
- Advising on aviation regulatory and liability matters
- Supporting and advising on aviation and transport asset finance transactions, including leasing, security arrangements and cross-border financings
- Managing complex cross-border commercial matters
- Working closely with partners on high-value, international mandates
- Supporting business development and client relationship management
Requirements
- 2.5–5 years’ PQE (England & Wales qualified or equivalent common law jurisdiction)
- Strong aviation experience is essential, or a mixed aviation and shipping background
- Experience in non-contentious matters preferred
- Strong drafting, analytical and client management skills
- Ability to work effectively within an international team environment
