We are partnering with a leading international law firm who, as part of their strategic growth and continued investment across core practice areas, are looking to recruit an experienced Legal Partner to join one of their major departments. This opportunity is open across a range of disciplines including Disputes & Litigation, Commercial, Corporate/M&A, Finance, Real Estate and other key practice areas. The preferred candidate will have some level of client following and be able to bring in some business of their own.
This is a rare opportunity for an established partner or senior lawyer with a strong practice to join a highly regarded firm offering genuine autonomy, first-class infrastructure and the ability to further scale and enhance their practice within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
They are seeking a commercially minded and highly motivated individual with a proven track record of practice development, strong client relationships and the ambition to contribute meaningfully to the firm’s long-term strategy.
Typical responsibilities for the role will include:
- Leading and developing a successful practice within the chosen department.
- Advising clients on complex, high-value and strategically significant matters.
- Managing and expanding an established client base while actively generating new business opportunities.
- Playing a key role in firm-wide business development, profile raising and cross-selling initiatives.
- Supervising, mentoring and developing junior lawyers and senior associates.
- Contributing to the strategic direction and growth of the department and wider firm.
- Working collaboratively with other partners and teams to deliver a seamless client service.
- Maintaining the highest standards of technical excellence, client care and regulatory compliance.
- Representing the firm externally through networking, thought leadership and industry engagement.
The successful candidate will have:
- Partner-level experience or be a senior lawyer ready to step into partnership.
- A strong, portable practice or clear evidence of consistent business generation.
- Deep technical expertise within their chosen practice area.
- An established network of client and referrer relationships.
- A commercial, strategic mindset with an entrepreneurial approach.
- Strong leadership skills and a collaborative working style.
- The ambition to grow both their practice and the wider firm.
