My client, based in South West Hampshire, has been established for 16 years and is looking for a Technical Designer to join their team. The client we are working with specialises in CAT A, CAT B, and landlord workplace environment interior design.
This role is offered on a hybrid structure, with 3 days in office/ on-site and 2 working from home. This client has projects across the UK and Ireland, so candidates must be open to and able to travel. In terms of other benefits, my client is a well-being and family-focused business, offering 25 days holiday + bank holidays + birthday off with the ability to accrue more holiday.
What we're looking for:
- Around 3-5 years of experience in Commercial Office Design & Build.
- Technical design and drawing-based education.
- Advanced experience in AutoCAD.
- Proficient in SketchUp.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suites.
- Understanding and experience with current Building Regulations.
- Experience and confidence in technical design, on-site experience, and client liaison.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create technical drawing packages for projects using AutoCAD.
- Carry out building surveys.
- Attend site meetings with clients and the project team.
- Communicate with clients & sub-contractors.
- Prepare drawing packs for use on-site and client meetings.
- Ensure the drawing issue sheet is up to date with the correct revisions.
- Issue drawings to sub-contractors and clients.
- Work closely with the internal Design, Projects & Finance Teams.
- Liaise with Building Control as required.
