    Job description

    About Wave Antiques

Based in the heart of Hatton Garden, Wave Antiques is an independent, design-led jeweller with five generations of expertise. We curate and create antique and fine jewellery, combining historic pieces with modern craftsmanship and a warm, contemporary client experience.

Accuracy, care, and discipline underpin everything we do. This role ensures that every piece is correctly recorded, tracked, and handled as it moves through the business.

    Role Overview

We are seeking a day-to-day owner of Jewellery Operations & Client Services for our jewellery stock, systems, and quality checks.

This is a practical, detail-driven role. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records across all systems, ensuring each item’s condition and status is known at all times, and coordinating repairs, shipping, and preparation for sale.

The role suits someone who is methodical, reliable, and takes pride in precision. In a business selling high-value, one-of-a-kind pieces, operational accuracy is non-negotiable.

    Key Responsibilities

    Stock and Product Management

    ·        Maintain accurate and up-to-date product records across Shopify and internal systems.

    ·        Add and update product details including materials, measurements, pricing, and condition notes.

    ·        Track stock movements and ensure availability is always clear and reliable.

    Quality Control and Workshop Coordination

    ·        Check each item before listing, shipping, or presentation to clients.

    ·        Manage items requiring resizing, repair, cleaning, or restoration.

    ·        Coordinate with the workshop and track progress through to completion.

    Shipping and Logistics

    ·        Prepare and ship high-value jewellery with appropriate care, insurance, and documentation.

    ·        Manage inbound and outbound deliveries and maintain accurate records.

    Client Services and Operational Support

    ·        Respond to client enquiries across email, website chat, and social platforms in a clear and professional tone.

    ·        Provide accurate information on availability, condition, and timelines.

    ·        Coordinate appointment administration and client updates on repairs or shipments.

    ·        Ensure all systems reflect the real-time status of each item and support the showroom team with reliable information.

    Skills and Experience

    Essential

    ·        Experience in stock administration, operations, or product coordination.

    ·        Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to record-keeping.

    ·        Comfortable working with digital systems such as Shopify, databases, and spreadsheets.

    ·        Organised and dependable, with the ability to manage multiple items and priorities.

    ·        Clear, professional written communication.

    Desirable

    ·        Experience working with jewellery, luxury goods, or high-value physical products.

    ·        Familiarity with repairs, resizing, or workshop coordination.

    ·        Experience handling insured or secure shipping.

    Personal Qualities

    ·        Precise, calm, and reliable.

    ·        Takes ownership and follows tasks through properly.

    ·        Comfortable working with responsibility and trust.

    ·        Cares about quality and standards without needing supervision.

    What We Offer

    ·        A competitive salary, dependent on experience.

    ·        The opportunity to work closely with rare and valuable antique and vintage jewellery.

    ·        Training in gem identification and the fundamentals of antique jewellery.

    ·        A supportive, close-knit team with high standards and clear expectations.

    To Apply

Please send your CV and a short note explaining your experience and interest in the role to jobs@waveantiques.com.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to meet the team and discuss how they approach accuracy, organisation, and quality in a high-value environment.
