With continued investment in its contract governance function and ambitious growth plans, the firm is strengthening its technical leadership across treaty and facultative placements.
Role Summary:
This is a standout opportunity for a Reinsurance Contract Wordings Specialist to take ownership of contract governance within a growing specialty broker. You will play a critical role ensuring that reinsurance contracts accurately reflect negotiated intent, regulatory standards, and evolving legal trends.
Working closely with brokers, analytics, claims, and senior stakeholders, you’ll be positioned at the centre of client strategy - shaping multi-year, multi-line, treaty and facultative solutions.
With further team expansion planned, this role offers real scope to influence best practice, develop governance frameworks, and build long-term career progression within a forward-thinking group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and review treaty and facultative wordings: Ensuring contract certainty and enforceability for complex placements.
- Quality assurance oversight: Protecting clients and the business by aligning contract documentation with negotiated intent.
- Negotiate technical wording issues: Strengthening risk transfer clarity and reducing E&O exposure.
- Provide regulatory and licensing guidance: Supporting compliant international placements.
- Develop a centralised wording library: Creating consistency and technical excellence across the business.
- Engage directly with clients and stakeholders: Building trusted advisory relationships.
Requirements:
- Experience reviewing and drafting reinsurance contracts (treaty and/or facultative).
- Strong understanding of reinsurance concepts and documentation.
- Awareness of regulatory and international licensing considerations.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational capability.
- Legal training or a law background desirable.
- Comfortable working in a client-facing, advisory-led environment.
If this role isn’t quite right, it’s still worth speaking to one of our specialist team - we may be working on something that hasn’t hit the market yet.
