    Job description

    Service Care Solutions is working in partnership with an employee focused local authority, based in Northamptonshire, which needs a Childcare Lawyer to join their legal team. The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, offering a strong work-life balance while handling meaningful public law childcare matters.


    Umbrella Rate: £55 - £60ph

    Location: Northamptonshire

    Contract Length: 3 months ongoing (29.6 to 37 hours per week)


    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage your own caseload of public law childcare matters from start to finish, advising social services and representing the Local Authority in court.
    • Drafting legal documentation including applications, statements, and care plans.
    • Conducting your own advocacy at hearings (minimum two court attendances per week).


    Benefits:

    • Hybrid working – attending court twice per week.
    • Weekly pay – the rate offered will depend on experience and interview performance.
    • Flexible hours – 29.6 to 37 hours per week.


    We also welcome referrals for this position, where a successful recommendation would be worth £250.
