Our client, a leading global technology consultancy, is expanding its SAP capability across the UK as part of multiple large-scale SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Lead to join a well-established SAP Consulting & Delivery team, supporting enterprise Finance transformations and helping clients realise value from modern SAP Finance solutions.

The role focuses on the end-to-end delivery of SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions across complex, global finance environments. The successful candidate will demonstrate deep functional SAP Finance expertise, hands-on delivery experience across S/4HANA programmes, and strong leadership capability within a consulting setting.
In addition, experience working across core Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, strong exposure to SAP Fiori and Embedded Analytics, and integration with adjacent modules such as MM, SD, and Project Systems will be highly advantageous.
Day to day duties may include:
- Leading the delivery of SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions across FI/CO, including GL, AP, AR, AA, and Controlling.
- Running discovery, explore, and design workshops with Finance Managers, Controllers, and senior stakeholders.
- Owning solution design across core Finance processes including Record-to-Report and period-end close.
- Configuring and testing SAP S/4HANA Finance components in collaboration with technical and integration teams.
- Driving adoption of S/4HANA innovations including Universal Journal, SAP Fiori apps, and Embedded Analytics.
- Supporting pre-sales activities including RFPs, RFIs, solution design, demos, and estimations.
- Participating in cutover planning, data validation, and hypercare support during go-lives.
- Contributing to reusable SAP Finance assets, templates, and best practices.
- Mentoring junior consultants and supporting capability development within the SAP Finance team.
Essential:
- Extensive experience as an SAP Finance Consultant with strong S/4HANA expertise.
- Proven track record across 2+ full lifecycle S/4HANA implementation programmes (greenfield and/or brownfield).
- Strong hands-on configuration experience across FI, CO, GL, AP, AR, and Asset Accounting.
- In-depth understanding of Record-to-Report (R2R) processes in large enterprise environments.
- Experience working with SAP Fiori, Embedded Analytics, and standard S/4 reporting tools.
- Exposure to integration with MM, SD, or Project Systems.
- Experience leading SAP Finance workstreams or acting as a functional lead.
- Strong experience with Functional Testing, SIT, UAT, and defect management.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate confidently at all levels.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a high-performing consulting team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Nice to have
- SAP S/4HANA Finance certification (FI or CO).
- Professional finance qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, or CPA.
- Experience with SAP Activate or agile delivery environments.
- Exposure to tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Signavio, or Solution Manager.
