The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Head of Geography to lead and develop a successful Geography department within a thriving secondary school. The successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum leadership, raising standards of achievement, and inspiring students through high-quality teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Geography department, ensuring high-quality provision across all key stages
- Develop and implement an engaging and ambitious Geography curriculum
- Monitor and evaluate student progress to drive excellent outcomes
- Support and develop colleagues within the department
- Contribute to whole-school improvement and enrichment opportunities
The Ideal Candidate
- A qualified teacher of Geography with strong subject knowledge
- Proven or emerging leadership skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Passionate about Geography and able to inspire students of all abilities
