Role Summary
The International Booker will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and securing international
guests for On the Record with Hadley Gamble and the wider IMI network; including The National,
Sky News Arabia, CNN Bussiness Arabic and Al Ain News. This role is critical to delivering high-quality high-quality programming, strengthening brand visibility, and ensuring competitive
positioning in both local and global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure top-tier international guests aligned with IMI’s strategic goals and brand positioning.
- Ensure seamless logistical coordination (visas, travel, hospitality, technical requirements).
- Enhance the organization’s international credibility and market reach.
- Identify and recommend suitable guests for On the Record with Hadley Gamble and other IMI platforms.
- Serve as the primary liaison with international PR firms, agents, and managers of high-profile international guests.
- Collaborate with Events, Editorial, and Production teams to align bookings with programming needs.
- Oversee end-to-end logistics planning (travel, accommodation, visas, technical requirements).
- Secure logistics, shooting locations, and required crew in coordination with the IMI team and external partners.
- Ensure a seamless experience to foster repeat collaboration.
- Monitor international talent trends, guest circuits, and industry developments.
- Provide strategic recommendations on emerging markets and priority guest categories.
Main Deliverables
- Secure and ensure the successful delivery of two interviews per month for On the Record with Hadley Gamble.
- Secure at least one high-profile interview per month for the wider IMI network (The National, Sky News Arabia, CNN Business Arabic, and Al Ain News).
Key Requirements
- BA/BSc in journalism/media/communications;
- Master’s preferred (as seen with previous hire).
- 8–15+ years in international media, booking, or editorial production.
- Proven history of securing high-profile global guests.
- Strong logistics and operations experience.
- Networking, negotiation, editorial judgment, logistics planning, and global market understanding Skills.
- Background with major international broadcasters or global PR agencies.
