We are looking to engage an experienced Health and Safety Advisor on a permanent basis. You should have prior applicable experience in a relevant sector and will be based from our Stockport office (2 days a week) supporting project teams across the UK, and Ireland on the other 3 days.
We are looking for:
- NEBOSH National Diploma
- A certified member of IOSH, working towards (or having achieved) Chartered membership.
- ISO45001 Lead Auditor certified with practical construction-based audit experience.
- 3-day First Aid Certification and MHFA wellbeing certification.
- Have good working knowledge of UK OH&S regulations and guidance.
- An excellent understanding of current health, safety and welfare issues;
- Excellent working knowledge of a heavy industry sector and the dynamic nature of risk and its management;
- Proven track record of operating in and continually updating a positive health and safety culture.
- Support on health and safety for our offices in England, Scotland, and Ireland;
- Promote health and safety services to our client base, in conjunction with the Business Development team;
- Up to date working knowledge of the CDM 2015 Regulations (including Principal Contractor role).
- Based within an hour’s commute of our Stockport office.
- Able to chair and minute meetings.
- Strong and concise communication skills (including professional report writing);
- Proven ability to influence others in promoting a strong safety culture.
- The ability to evaluate, explain and simplify complex root cause and effect issues.
- Full driving licence with willingness to travel in the UK and overseas if required.
- Full right to work in the UK without any visa restrictions; and
- A dynamic individual who will be very visible across the business as part of our recognised health and safety function.
