The Opportunity
The Head of HR is a senior leadership role within the business, responsible for shaping and delivering the people strategy while ensuring operational excellence across HR.
Reporting into a highly regarded and forward-thinking Chief People Officer, this role offers a genuine opportunity to operate as a trusted number two, partnering at executive level while benefiting from strong mentorship and exposure to strategic decision-making at the highest level.
Working alongside the Senior Leadership Team, this is a hands-on position combining strategic thinking with operational execution. The successful individual will drive performance, support organisational growth and change, and promote a high-performing, values-led culture.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and deliver the HR strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Partner with the SLT to support growth, transformation and organisational effectiveness.
- Champion a culture of accountability, performance and continuous improvement.
Human Resources
- Lead talent acquisition and retention strategies.
- Oversee performance management, reward and workforce planning.
- Drive leadership development, succession planning and employee engagement initiatives.
- Provide guidance on complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent practice.
- Review organisational design to improve efficiency and performance.
- Lead Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives.
About You
- Significant progressive HR experience, operating at senior HR leadership level.
- Strong generalist background with the ability to balance strategy and delivery.
- Commercially minded with solid employment law knowledge.
- Confident influencing senior stakeholders and leading change.
- Experience overseeing Health & Safety is advantageous.
- Pragmatic, resilient and hands-on in approach.
