We are in the market for a Commercial Litigation Partner to join our team. We are very selective about our Partners . They will be heading up the commercial litigation side of the business aligning with our Property Litigation Partner and his team but focusing on commercial litigation NOT property. The key aspects he is looking for are :-
- Longevity - someone who has been in post for a good while and not moved around too much.
- Experience of managing a team at Partner level, ideally 5 years.
- Good business acumen.
- Ideally c12 – 15 years PQE predominantly in commercial litigation.
- Must be a qualified and registered solicitor in the UK.
The job spec is
- The role would encompass Commercial Litigation fee earning work and supervising one or two Commercial Litigation Solicitors and a similar number of support staff.
- Accordingly, the candidate must be a Solicitor with at least 12 – 15 years’ PQE in England and Wales with a strong educational background, who has spent most of their PQE practising in commercial or general litigation in a small to mid-sized law firm.
- A following is desirable, but not essential if the candidate can demonstrate that they have good business development skills and the enthusiasm to bring in new work.
- The candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership potential and have experience of supervision.
- The candidate must have the ability to communicate in a clear and assertive manner to those who have a good understanding of the law, and proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with good business acumen.
