We’ve recently closed our Series A and are entering the next phase of scale: deepening our product moat, expanding into new verticals and building a category-defining embedded payments platform. This is where you come in.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Chief Product Officer to own and elevate product at Ryft.
This is not a feature factory role. This is a strategic, commercial product leadership position at the heart of a regulated fintech infrastructure business.
You will:
• Define and execute Ryft’s long-term product vision
• Build a product organisation capable of scaling with ambition
• Partner closely with Sales, Risk, Compliance and Engineering
• Turn regulatory and operational complexity into product advantage
• Help shape the company at executive and board level
• You will sit on the executive team and play a critical role in shaping the next chapter of Ryft.
What You’ll Own
1. Product Vision & Strategy
- Define a clear multi-year product strategy aligned to commercial growth
- Identify defensible moats in embedded payments and orchestration
- Lead product positioning in competitive fintech landscapes
- Translate regulatory constraints into product opportunities
2. Execution at Scale
- Own product roadmap across onboarding, compliance, orchestration, payouts and reporting
- Improve speed and quality of delivery with engineering
- Introduce product metrics, instrumentation and feedback loops
- Balance platform robustness with speed of iteration
3. Commercial Impact
- Work directly with Sales and Partnerships on large deals
- Support enterprise prospects with product strategy and roadmap clarity
- Drive monetisation strategy including take rates, pricing models and revenue share mechanics
- Increase net revenue per platform
4. Regulatory & Risk Integration
- Collaborate with Compliance and Risk to embed regulatory requirements seamlessly
- Ensure product design aligns with FCA expectations
- Maintain audit readiness and operational resilience
5. Team Building
- Build and lead Product Management, Design and potentially Product Operations
- Develop a high-performance, high-accountability culture
- Introduce structured discovery and experimentation processes
- Coach PMs to think commercially, not just functionally
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- 10+ years in product, with at least 3–5 in senior leadership
- Experience in fintech, payments, marketplaces or embedded finance
- Experience operating in regulated environments
- Proven experience scaling product in Series A–C businesses
Capabilities
- Strong commercial instinct and revenue orientation
- Ability to operate at board level while staying close to detail
- Deep understanding of platform economics and payments infrastructure
