Overview
We’re looking for a Junior Designer to join our team and grow with the business. We’ve already got some great projects lined up, so we’re keen to get started quickly.
If you’re interested in creating brands and visual identities that work across print and digital, this could be for you. No two days are the same. One day you might be helping the design team develop a name and visual identity for a UK start-up, and the next you could be gathering content and populating a website for a leading international hospitality brand.
Many of our projects span multiple outputs and, while the majority of your time will be spent working with the design team, you’ll also collaborate with other members of the studio, including developers, photographers, and account and project managers.
The role is varied, with plenty of opportunity to contribute ideas and develop new skills. Whatever you’re working on, we expect a high level of detail, finesse and care in everything we produce.
Skills & experience
- A solid working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign is essential.
- Figma is a strong advantage.
- Experience with tools such as Framer or After Effects is a bonus.
- An understanding of print techniques and preparing press-ready artwork.
- Confidence presenting your concepts to both the team and clients.
- Agency experience would be great, but it’s not essential.
- A portfolio showing a range of projects including branding, websites and print. These can be from education, work experience, freelance or self-initiated projects.
- A willingness to learn, develop new skills and give and receive constructive feedback.
- Website development knowledge isn’t required for this role, but it’s a bonus if you have some understanding.
Just so you know, this is a hybrid role with three days in the studio and two from home. Our studio is based in the Kent countryside and isn’t easily accessible by foot, bus or train.
