We are exclusively partnering with a well-established manufacturing business in North Yorkshire to appoint a commercially focused Head of HR for an exciting and evolving brand.
About the Role
This is a true generalist leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape and lead the HR function during a key phase of growth and transformation. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team to deliver a people strategy aligned to business objectives, while strengthening HR systems, processes and operational excellence. This role is initially offered as a 6–12 month fixed-term contract, with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full HR remit across the business, covering both strategic and operational HR
- Partner with the senior leadership team to drive organisational performance and culture
- Review, develop and embed scalable HR systems and processes
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice
- Oversee employee relations activity, providing pragmatic and commercially sound advice
- Lead workforce planning, succession planning and organisational design initiatives
- Drive performance management and capability development
- Support change management projects across the business
- Develop and enhance policies, procedures and people frameworks
- Champion engagement, communication and a positive workplace culture
This is a hands-on role within a manufacturing environment, requiring visibility and presence on site.
Pay range and compensation package
Salary: c.£60,000–£75,000 + package
