How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Venture Capital Internship - WSO Global Talent Program

    About Us

Wall Street Oasis is the largest career community focused on careers in finance, with over 1 million registered members and 20 million annual visits annually.

    About the Internship

Do you want experience that helps you build a stronger VC resume and develop real venture-style research skills? The WSO Venture Capital Internship is a highly selective, off-cycle virtual internship designed to help top students gain hands-on experience through structured training and venture-focused work.

We screen thousands of students globally to identify high-potential talent. Strong interns that are screened will have their profiles shared with our network of partner organizations, including:

    • micro-VC funds
    • emerging managers
    • venture studios
    • accelerators / incubators
    • angel syndicates

Only a limited number of interns are selected each quarter per geographic region, ensuring a high-impact experience and meaningful mentorship.

    What You’ll Gain

    Venture Capital Training (Weeks 1–2)

The internship begins with two weeks of structured training designed to build the core skills used in venture investing, including:

    • VC fund structures and economics
    • Venture roles and sourcing workflows
    • SAFEs, convertible notes, and preferred equity
    • Term sheets (control + economics) and cap table modeling basics
    • Startup diligence fundamentals (market, product, team, traction)
    • Investment memo writing
    • Exit dynamics and portfolio math

Top candidates who pass the training assessments advance to placement.

Venture Experience & Placement (Weeks 3–10)

After training, interns work directly with our partner network (micro-VCs, venture studios, accelerators, and angel syndicates) to support:

    • deal flow and sourcing
    • market mapping and thesis research
    • competitive landscape research
    • startup evaluations and deal memos
    • diligence support and IC-prep style briefs

    Who Should Apply?

    This program is ideal for:

    • Highly motivated students (freshmen/sophomores not limited)
    • Candidates exploring venture capital, startups, growth equity, or investing
    • Strong researchers and analytical thinkers
    • Students who want an edge in competitive recruiting
    • Quick learners who can write clearly and work independently

No prior VC experience is required... Performance in assessments and training matters most.

    Additional Details

    • Location: Remote
    • Duration: 10 weeks (virtual)
    • Compensation: Unpaid (certificate + referral letter upon successful completion)

    How to Apply

Submit your application now. If selected, you’ll be invited to complete a short assessment. Top candidates will move forward to training and the internship phase.
