We have a vacancy for a Social Worker in the North Locality Care and Support Team based in our Berwick or Alnwick District Offices.
About the role

As a Social Worker in the Care and Support Team you will work with people over 18 years of age with a mental illness or physical disability. You will work closely with the appropriate primary care teams fostering collaborative relationships which lead to better outcomes for the people we support.

- Enthusiastic, qualified and experienced Social Workers with a commitment to continuous development
In this role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments and enjoy a healthy balance of autonomy and support. You’ll manage your own caseload while receiving regular supervision and consistent guidance from Advanced Social Work Practitioners and your Team Manager. A clear understanding of the Care Act and the Local Authority’s statutory duties is essential.

For this position you must have the following:
- Degree in Social Work & registered with Social Work England
- Successfully completed the UK Skills for Care ASYE programme
- It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid UK driving licence and is either a car ownerorcanuseacar for work purposes.
