About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Property Legal Assistant to join our busy and growing commercial property team in Brighton. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to develop their legal career within a supportive and professional environment.
You will work closely with experienced solicitors handling a broad range of commercial property matters, providing essential administrative and legal support to ensure transactions progress smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with commercial property transactions including sales, acquisitions, leases, and refinancing
- Preparing and drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Submitting Land Registry applications and SDLT returns
- Conducting property searches and due diligence
- Managing files from instruction through to completion
- Liaising with clients, agents, lenders, and third parties
- Maintaining accurate case management records
- General administrative support to the commercial property team
About You
- Previous experience in a legal assistant or legal secretary role (commercial property experience preferred)
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
- A team player with a positive and proactive approach
