Level 2 Teaching Assistant
We are recruiting a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in the L15 area. The school supports pupils aged 2–19 with a wide range of needs, including special educational needs, visual impairments, sensory needs, and complex learning needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children and young people with SEND.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with a variety of SEND on a 1:1 or small‑group basis
- Assisting with learning activities, communication, and sensory development
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
- Following individual care plans and behaviour support strategies
Requirements
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
- A genuine passion for working within SEND
- Experience supporting pupils with complex needs (desirable but not essential)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
- Ability to commit to full‑time or part‑time hours
- Reliable, patient, and confident working in a specialist setting
