    Job description

    To keep up with our growth in the UK and Ireland, we’re looking for a dedicated Claims Handler to join our growing team in Birmingham. This is a key role in delivering a first-class claims experience to our clients, providing timely, empathetic, and effective claims handling across a variety of insurance products.

    Using your skills, you will be:


    • Dealing with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers and other third parties in a professional and timely manner
    • Managing client’s claims including advice on cover and indemnity
    • Actively monitor progress on outstanding claims and provide timely and accurate feedback to clients and Account Executives
    • Liaising with Insurers, Loss Adjusters and other third parties
    • Dealing with claims on behalf of carriers on a delegated authority basis where agreements are in place
    • Providing technical and administrative support to the Directors and Account Executives
    • Undertaking other duties as assigned by Team Manager
    • Running and amending client reports



    We're looking for someone with:


    • A high level of inter-personal skills with an ability to build successful, mutually beneficial business relationships
    • Communication skills – someone who is able to communicate to people with various levels of knowledge, face to face, over the telephone and in writing
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Planning, organisational and time management skills
    • Problem-solving
    • Computer literacy and a thorough understanding of Company software
    • Good IT skills in particular Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
    • Report writing
    • Experience handling Property, Casualty and Motor claims
    • Experience working in a Commercial Insurance setting
    • Knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements
