Principal Commercial Officer – Defence Sector
Salary: £42,0000 - £48,000 + bonus & comprehensive benefits
Working Model: Hybrid (2–3 days per week on-site)

A leading defence organisation is seeking a skilled commercial professional to join their team at a senior level. This is a key role supporting both new business activity and ongoing delivery across strategically important programmes.
The Role:
You will play a pivotal part in guiding commercial activity across the full contract lifecycle, including:
• Developing, reviewing, and negotiating commercial terms for bids and proposals
• Supporting early-stage research and development programmes
• Managing contract performance, change control, and customer interaction
• Advising internal stakeholders on commercial risk, pricing structures, and compliance
• Collaborating with suppliers and partners to protect and enhance commercial outcomes
What You’ll Bring:
• Experience in a commercial, contracts, or bid-focused role
• Confidence negotiating complex terms and shaping commercial strategy
• Strong understanding of contractual frameworks, pricing, and risk management
• Background in defence, aerospace, engineering, or similarly regulated sectors (beneficial but not essential)
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical, project, and procurement teams
